Last week a group of former employees of Penrith hairdressing salon Miss Millicans that was based at Clarence House on Queen Street in the town and is now Pamela's, held a 60 year anniversary reunion lunch at Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa.
All those at the lunch had worked and trained at Miss Millicans hairdressing salon, many forming lifelong friendship with each other during their time working together at the Penrith business.
Some of those who attend the anniversary lunch travelled from London to celebrate the occasion with former college and friends.
