Penrith Library closed following damage during Storm Bert

Westmorland and Furness Council have announced that Penrith Library is closed following damage incurred during Storm Bert, The Library closed early on Saturday due to issues and has been forced to remain closed today (Monday 25th November).

The council has said the library will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Due to the closure the planned Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions on Tuesday 26th November has been cancelled as well as the evening Chess group.

The council has said “we apologise for the inconvenience.”
