Town Strewn with litter after wildlife rampage

Businesses and residents have been greeted with the town centre streets strewn with litter this morning after bags of trade waste left out for collection have been ripped open and litter bins had the contents spread across the pavements in Little Dockray and Middlegate.

Seagulls and Rats have been blamed by some shopkeepers this morning for the mess in the town’s streets.

With reports of an increase in rats spotted running around even in daylight in the town centre recently and an increase in the number of seagulls in the town centre in recent weeks that had coincided with the introduction of measures on the town’s industrial estates to deal with its seagull issues using lasers.
