Traffic Stopped on M6 for Air Ambulance to Land

The M6 between Junction 40 and 41 was closed this morning to allow the air ambulance to land on the motorway to assist emergency services dealing with an incident that had occurred under the Castletown Bridge over the M6.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that a person fell from the Castletown bridge onto the M6 earlier this morning.

The M6 has now reopened to traffic in both directions after the Air Ambulance departed the scene.
